Torres would reprise her role as Jessica Pearson, which she played on the legal drama.
A spinoff focused on Torres’ character might be in the works at the USA Network. Still, there are no deals so far in place and the entire project is early development. The actress left Suits in a good manner during the sixth season because she decided to return to her home in Los Angeles (Suits shoots in Toronto).
Aaron Korsh, the series creator said that “Toward the beginning of season five, Gina expressed that, due to personal stuff going on in her life, she needed to be in L.A. more. We formulated a plan at that point to try and gracefully exit her from the show,”. He also added that “She said to me that if the show shot in L.A., she would stay on it for the rest of her life; I think she loved being on the show, and we’d loved having her,”.
Jessica Pearson was written out in the midseason finale of season six when she left her firm in New York to start anew in Chicago. Suits is currently at its sixth season and it’s USA’s longest-running show. The show has already been renewed of a seventh season.
