Review ‘The Good Dinosaur’:Great Visuals, but What About the Story?

The high standards that Pixar created with the release of Inside Out, made everybody focus all their attention and opinions on the new movie titled The Good Dinosaur. Was is it wrong for Pixar to release the dino movie after all the public struggling they had regarding the storyline and after firing director Bob Peterson? Even after “fixing” all their problems, the story still feels incomplete and without depth.

‘Beasts of no Nation’ Review: Powerful and Exciting

Bullet is just eating everything said Agu (Abraham Attah), the young boy transformed in a killing machine and dragged into a war in Cary Joji Fukunaga’s Beasts of no Nation. Based on a novel by Uzodinma Iweala, the story focuses on young Agu who makes a rough transition (with the help of the Commandant – Idris Elba) from his quiet life spent with his family to a life of an orphan who has to kill to survive alongside his new “family”.

‘Dumb & Dumber To’ Review: is it ‘to’ late?

Twenty years have passed since we first met Lloyd (Jim Carrey) and Harry (Jeff Daniels) and here we are, discussing the second part of the story. You see, the thing with comedy is that timing always matters. Our characters look the same (well, there are a few wrinkles visible), they’re making the same jokes and this is ok, we accept it. The only problem is that we’ve changed and the humor style is different these days.

It’s extremely long! Yes, it has three hours! Also, there are no UFO’s, no aliens attacking humans, no weird planets and there won’t be any green creature trying to examine Matthew McConaughey’s brain. This is a side of Christopher Nolan that will disappoint all those Dark Knight fans who are looking for impressive action moments.

Review: The Book Thief

There are lots of movies about the Nazi Germany and every single time, the viewer will ask himself how will this last film will impress him? Well, The Book Thief has something special and I was impressed by it even though some people might not feel the same way. It actually offered me that feeling that I’ve had when I’ve watched Midnight in Paris directed by Woody Allen. I don’t know why because these two movies have nothing in common…just my feelings.
